Yay my turn to make a game
#1
I've started on my first game set in Hawkesbury, Ontario. The game is up for testing at https://www.roblox.com/games/3617128101/Hawkesbury-1-1
I need a name for the series of games / places I will make, I was thinking of Canadian outback but this isn't the outback at all.
I have a drawing of the map and a model of what the game might look like on TheoTown.

You seem to have a lot of passion for making games, and thats good! However, your map making needs some work. First of all, your roads are nowhere near up to code, which is OK, since it is really complicated. I would recommend finding a road pack by creators on Roblox. I will give you some sources in the end. Second, you need to fix your traffic lights and add road signs. Add signs like speed limits and stop signs for starters, then get into more complicated signs like hidden intersection and steep grade signs. I will also list a sign pack in the end. Regarding your street lights, they are a good start and they work, but they are in the wrong place. The lights are on the farthest part from the driver in Canadian and American intersections. Also, not to self promote myself, but I would recommend the building pack I have created full of about 30 (give or take) buildings. Lastly, your curves need some work, I would recommend using Archimedes two. Its a incredibly simple to use curve creator you can use to create amazing curves.

I'm using the road generator plugin by TwentyTwoPilots to make my roads, I am using a road pack, if you look in the sky there are floating models to be used in the game. I put the traffic lights on the close side because it's impossible to see them and the road signs no matter what I do with the surface GUI. Thanks for the help though.

Edit: The building pack is a bunch of solid blocks, I could use the commercial and industrial buildings but not the residential ones. The road direction plugin is kind of broken cause I can't close the GUI.

For some reason, the road generator plugin is really hard to do, so I use Archimedes Two. How do you work it?

So you click the endpoint button and it spawn in 2 bricks named A and B. Put A and B in the correct orientation you want by rotating or modifying the properties, have the yellow rod on A face towards B and have B's rod face A. Click the options to select number of lanes, shoulder width and some other things then click the road icon which will make a generated road model.

Makes sense, I had the issue of spawning roads in unwanted places. But which plugin is more effective? Archimedes Two, or Alex's plugin?

I haven't tried Archimedes, but I'm getting the hang of Alex's plugin.

Well, there is something to test about Archimedes Two. Like I said earlier, it's quicker but easier from my experience.
